Charity Charm set to leave a lasting impression

charity charmLasting Impressions (Devon) Ltd and SafeGuard Independent Jewellery Valuations support the RNLI and Guide Dogs For The Blind

When Ian Hall owner of Lasting Impressions (Devon) Ltd – award winning Goldsmiths - contacted SafeGuard’s Operations Manager Carla Goodfellow requesting support for a local Devon couple who since November have been undertaking a 5000 mile Round Britain Coastal Walk Challenge in aid of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and the Guide Dogs for the Blind, the SafeGaurd team along with The Birmingham Assay Office staff were all delighted to help.

Curteis Ltd have donated the 9ct gold bracelet, Cookson Precious Metals have donated the charm bullion gold and Ian Hall from Lasting Impressions has made the 7 charms and provided the diamonds. The Birmingham Assay Office has hallmarked the finished piece and SafeGaurd has provided a detailed valuation of the piece all free of charge.

The 7 charm bracelet is a memento of the walk. It will be worn by Wendy Bathard for the duration of the 5,000 mile walk. It will be cleaned and auctioned to raise money for the two charities.

The charm bracelet has a guide dog logo, an anchor (the hallmark of The Birmingham Assay Office) and a life ring which might be of interest to anyone with RNLI or sailing connections. It also has an “on on” foot, a map of Great Britain a shell and a pebble.

If you are interested in bidding for this unusual bracelet, just send your bid via e-mail to coastalwalk@tvh3.com and the highest bidder will become the proud owner of this totally unique piece of jewellery

The Couple Wendy Bathard, Paul Barber and their dog – Havoc are hoping to raise £50,000 during their walk. If you would like to support them please visit their website www.tvh3.com/coastalwalk.htm where you will find details about how they are doing and where to send your donations to.

SafeGuard and The Birmingham Assay Office wish them every success.
