SafeGuard is the largest, most successful, and innovative independent jewellery, watch and silverware valuation service in the UK. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Birmingham Assay Office, founded by Act of Parliament in 1773, and as such, has no vested interest in the value, sale or replacement of the item being valued.
The SafeGuard team of expert Valuers pride themselves on their unrivalled quality of service, skills and expertise. The service operates from The Birmingham Assay Office and from The London Gemmological Office in Hatton Garden, all providing gemmological expertise, access to data and state of the art scientific instruments.
Backed by strong sales and marketing initiatives, SafeGuard continues to grow, and is looking to further expand its expert and enthusiastic team.
If you are a dynamic, successful individual, who is self driven, proactive and has good communication skills as well as the ability to work alone but at all times remaining part of a strong team, we would like to hear from you.
The Role requires an experienced Valuer who is DGA, and FGA qualified. Status as an NAG Registered Valuer would be an advantage, as would experience in the Retail Trade. Further training will be given during an induction period at the SafeGuard Head Office in Birmingham.
A clean driving licence is essential.
As a SafeGuard Valuer you will be required to carry out one-to-one consultations with customers at Valuation Event Days, home visits, and other general valuation work. ACCOUNT MANAGER
A self motivated sales professional with experience in the jewellery industry is required to drive sales for the AnchorCert Independent Diamond Certification and SafeGuard Independent Jewellery Valuations Services - two fast growing divisions of The Birmingham Assay Office.
As a key member of our sales and marketing team, travelling throughout the UK, enthusiasm and excellent communication skills are essential. FGA, DGA, or NAG qualifications preferred.

SafeGuard is looking for a dynamic individual who is professional, effective and efficient. The successful candidate will work as part of a team, supporting the Office Manger and Operations Director. The Role is varied, covering all aspects of administration and operational procedures and therefore requires flexibility, attention to detail, logical thinking and an organised and tidy outlook to work.
Security is paramount within the organisation and every member of the team has a responsibility to carry out their duties within the security measures which have been put in place.
If you have good computer skills, experience in an administrative role, a friendly and professional telephone manner along with excellent communication skills we would like to hear from you. Knowledge of the Jewellery industry, manufacturing and or retail would be preferable but is not essential. Salary will be dependent upon knowledge and experience.
